Andrea Seraphim is a photographer living in North Vancouver, British Columbia with her husband, daughter and son.She has a B.A. in Psychology and a Law Degree from U.B.C. and has studied Photography at Capilano and Langara Colleges in the Vancouver area.

After attending a 10 day photography workshop in Paris with internationally known photojournalist Peter Turnley in 2004, Seraphim was inspired to concentrate on Street Photography and has returned to Paris every 2 years since to work on a portfolio of Paris street photographs  - both black and white film and digital colour images.

"Street Photography is so consuming - you're in a location and you're just looking and watching for that moment when the light and a gesture or some juxtaposition of elements comes together to create a piece of theatre and an emotional connection with the subject.

I appreciate the dramatic moments of everyday life and I try to bring that appreciation into my work. I want to tell stories with photographs whether candid street photographs, portraits, abstracts, or aspects of nature."
